![]() if you are going to make a game stupid out of control hard at least make it so I can go back to before my current run cause with the way your luck is out of control bad you should at least not have your whole save ruined by it. basically ruined whole save cause well it auto saves your progress at all times. I had one madman dodge almost every single attack for 5 turns and get reinforcements to keep him stay alive another 5 so he could literally AOE my entire party to full stress from almost zero. If you do want to make the game as easy as you'd like it to be there are also a countless number of mods that tweak major parts of the gameplay to reduce (or increase) difficulty. I'd still say that the regular difficulty isn't all that hard as long as you're actively trying to stay out of trouble and don't make blatantly dumb moves. Although sometimes things just might not go your way even if the odds are in your favor ( or the other way around). Alot of the combat centers less around carefully strategizing and more about assessing what move is most likely to end up with a beneficial outcome, while minimizing risk. I would still recommend playing on Darkest Mode because playing on the difficulty the developers intended people to play on is a core aspect to the experience. There are also specific difficulty tweaks you can adjust in the settings, like enemies leaving corpses or not, which can impact the difficulty of encounters. The easiest difficulty option is Radiant Mode, which keeps combat largely the same as the standard difficulty Darkest Mode but alleviates alot of the grind on the management side of things, letting you progress through the game faster and making failure less punishing. Are there difficulty options to make the game easier? Or mods that make the game a bit easier? I don't mind dying here or there but I kinda want a more casual experience than using 90% of my brainpower to calculate each move and countermove.
